Meet Erick

Erick Molina’s journey with Samaritan Health Center began with a simple recommendation: “Go to this place.”

In 2016, curious about his health but unsure where to go, Erick made his first visit to SHC. “I felt really good, but didn’t know if I was ‘rotten’ on the inside. Thank God I came here,” he says, grateful for the choice that connected him to Samaritan’s compassionate care.

Since then, Erick has utilized a wide range of services at the health clinic. From blood pressure checks and lab work to eye exams and medication assistance, he’s received support that has been comprehensive and affordable. When a major health event struck this year, Erick says Samaritan became his steadfast support system. “You’re good people. You help me a lot,” he shares. Through hospitalizations and follow-up care, our health team has been there for him, helping him feel—as he puts it—“reborn” and renewed in his health journey.

For Erick, the best part of Samaritan is its people. He admires the staff’s patience and kindness, acknowledging that healthcare can be complex, especially when language or cultural differences are involved. “Sometimes it’s complicated to express,” he says, but the team at Samaritan has always made him feel understood and valued.

Erick often encourages others to visit Samaritan, knowing firsthand how transformative the clinic’s care can be. “If you want to have good doctors and people who will take care of you, go there,” he says. He regularly offers small donations to show his appreciation.

Reflecting on the community’s need for affordable, accessible healthcare, Erick understands how financial strain—especially in recent years—has made health a low priority for many. “You know, this care is expensive,” he notes, “but here it’s almost free.” With the Samaritan team’s support, patients gain access to education, screenings, and exams that would otherwise be financially out of reach. For Erick, Samaritan is a safe and welcoming place, where he doesn’t feel “different,” but rather embraced and cared for.
